Torremolinos boasts a long history as a tourist destination. In the 60s it became an example of freedom for foreigners. Since then, its growth hasn't ceased and its services continue to improve to offer all visitors a full selection of fun, gastronomy options and cultural activities. Flanked on one side by Guadalmar and its popular golf course, and by Benalmádena on the other with its famous marina, Torremolinos boasts a strategic location and excellent links. It is only a few minutes from Malaga Airport and less than half an hour from the train and bus stations in Malaga.
It is home to extensive beaches, all of which have multiple beach bars where you can sample the best fried fish in Spain as well as sardine skewers, which are typical of the area. The beaches are always accompanied by the endless promenade. When you exit Hotel Puente Real you will find yourself in one of the most strategic points of this famous town: on the beachfront, surrounded by a wide variety of shops, restaurants, supermarkets and establishments offering all kinds of services. Furthermore, you will be just a short walk from Torremolinos' town centre.
In terms of gastronomy, fresh fish and our famous fried fish, or "pescaito" take centre stage, although you can also find Indian and Japanese eateries in the vicinity of the hotel. Torremolinos has some restaurants serving avant-garde cuisine. We also recommend you head to the fishing district known as La Carihuela to try some fried fish before enjoying a delicious ice cream accompanied by sea views.
